Obituary of Lynne Bilson
Bilson, Donna Lynne (nee Macfarlane)
Lynne passed away unexpectedly at home, in Ottawa, on January 26, 2021 in her 75th year. Lynne was born October 30, 1946, in Smiths Falls, ON. She was the much loved sister of Marg (Bob) Pepper and sister-in-law of Becky Macfarlane of Saskatoon. Lynne was predeceased by her parents William and Gladys Macfarlane and her brother Bill.
She was a special aunt to Shawn, Steven, and Scott Pepper, and Dan, Tim, and Eric Macfarlane, as well as great aunt to 14 great nieces and nephews, and one great, great niece.
Lynne’s working career was at RBC and VHA. She was a dedicated and conscientious worker. Upon retirement she volunteered several days a week at the W.E.L.L., an organization that supported women and children in need.
Lynne loved music, particularly old country, and was incredibly fond of children and animals, especially cats. Lynne will be missed by her family and her many good friends, as she was a very fair, loyal, and true friend to those she cared for.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday August 7, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Blair & Son Smiths Falls Chapel, 112 Beckwith St. N., for those wishing to pay their respects. A private service and burial will follow. Those wishing to make a donation in Lynne’s memory can support the Smiths Falls Community Hospital Foundation.
