Lucy E. Weir
1981-2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden
passing of our beautiful daughter, Lucy Erin, at the age of 40, on May
10, 2021 in Moncton.
Lucy was born in Moncton on April 22, 1981 to Greg and
Loretta (Tingley) Weir of Lower Coverdale. In
addition to her mom and dad, she is survived by her brother,
Adam, numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and extended
family.
Lucy had a special light about her and a laugh so
infectious that once you heard it, you never forgot her. She
loved to sing and dance and spend time with her many friends who will
miss her greatly. She was a very talented artist and painter
and made many beautiful crochet pieces for her friends and
family. She also had a real flare for
makeup.
She had many struggles in her short life that ultimately
became too much for her to bear. Please don’t judge her, she
did the very best she could with every challenge she faced
and with the tools she had to work with.
She is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Carney and
Eva Weir and by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Stella Tingley.
Three uncles; Austin, Ernie and Graham and one aunt,
Beatrice.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of her life will be held
at the Hillsborough Baptist Church, 26 Braam
Crescent, Hillsborough on Saturday, May 15th,
2021 at 2:30pm, Rev. Geoff deJong officiating with
COVID regulations being followed. The service will be live
streamed and able to be viewed on the Hillsborough Baptist Church
website or Hillsborough Baptist Church and Albert County
Funeral Home facebook pages. Interment will be in the
Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB at a later date.
Donations to the Moncton SPCA or one of the local cat
rescue organizations would be appreciated as Lucy loved
animals, especially her cat Oliver.
