Obituary for Lily Yuri Feiner
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that the family of Lily Yuri Feiner (nee Inaba) announces her passing on August 24th 2021 at Toronto General Hospital in her 86th year. A beloved mom, dear grandma, sister, auntie and friend too many, Lily was incredible, full of energy, always helping and touched everyone she met. Born in Delta British Columbia daughter of the late Chuzaburo Inaba and Yoshie Hayashi. She resided on Baily Road until the war years when her family was moved to New Denver, Slocan City and Neys (Ontario). Her family settled in Fort William she graduated nursing college at McKellar General Hospital in 1958. Lily took great pride, was very passionate and proud to be a nurse she always helped and cared for others long after her career was over. Lily’s career took her to Toronto where she worked at Toronto General and later Peel Memorial Hospital until she retired in 1996. She loved to cook, bake and host gatherings for family and friends. She knew how to have fun and made everyone laugh and smile. Some of her favourite pastimes were travelling, gardening, casinoing, spending time with her friends at the senior centre and watching the Blue Jays. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her three sons Allan (Elaine), Robert (Joanna) and Mark (Connie) two grandchildren Robert and Erika, brother Ken Masaji (Dorothy) and sister Peggy Kuni (late Shin Taira) eight nieces and nephews Les (Deirdre) Shelley, Wayne, David, Amy (Phil), Lisa (Neil), David (Eva), Craig (Lisa) and fourteen Grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Chuzaburo Inaba and Yoshie Hayashi, her sister Irene Chiyoko (John Fujio Sunohara), Jim Junichi and Raymond Tadeo. A private family gathering will be held to honor Lily Yuri. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the University Health Network Foundation.
