Hamilton, Leona “Toots” (nee Grozelle)
At the age of 96, Toots passed away on March 5, 2021. She is predeceased by her husband Hank (2001), and her brother Lloyd Grozelle, and sisters Bernice Smith and Pearl Woito. Toots was the much-loved aunt of Dana Woito (2019) and Kevin Donelson, Diane Mosher, Sandra Penziwol, Sandy Smith Gordon, Terry Smith and Jeff Smith as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. Toots moved to Toronto when she was 18, and among other jobs was a cashier at the A & P and Loblaws. She married her beloved Hank in 1943 in a happy marriage that lasted for 58 years. They moved to Englehart in 1988 where Toots planted a bountiful garden. She was famous for her butter tarts and knitting, which found a home at many of her friends. She moved south to Beechwood Manor (Waterloo) in 2016 where she thrived. She loved watching her Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, and curling on TV. She was a generous and kind soul who will be missed.
