Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the home of his daughter in Trenton, on Sunday, June 20, 2021. Cecil Lazier, age 77 of Maynooth, was the beloved husband of the late Betty Anne Lazier (2016). Loving father of Cathy Lazier (Joe) of Trenton, and the late Kenneth and Paul Lazier. Loved grandfather of Douglas, Jason, Josh, Kayla, Mandy, Kaitlyn, Dwaine, Samantha, Joseph, Anna and Aiden. Father-in-law of Robin Campbell. Brother and brother-in-law of Doris Dawson, Linda, Ronny (Linda), Rodney (Cindy), Evelyn (Clifford), Rose (Gordon) and Johanna. Predeceased by his grandsons Randy and Jonathan Lazier, his daughter-in-law Cheryl Mossman, his sister Clara, and his brothers Walter, Frank, Allen, Gilbert and Herman. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Cecil worked for many years with the Ministry of Transportation, was a logger, landscaper and trapped live bait. He was well loved and will be missed by many. Cecil’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Bancroft Pentecostal Tabernacle (311 Hastings St., N., Bancroft), on Friday 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., by appointment only. A private family Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike West officiating, followed by Interment at Grace Cemetery, Maynooth. Due to COVID-19, strict visitation and service restrictions will be in place. Visitation must be booked and confirmed ahead of time, by calling the funeral home (613) 338-3259. No exceptions.
