It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Laurin Willis of Dover.
Laurin was predeceased by his mother Rosalind, father William and brothers: A. Frank and Selby.
Left to mourn are his loving wife Jane; children: Danica, Andre, Jodi (Jonathan); Grandchildren: Myron, Isaac, Joseph; brothers: Marvin (Bea), Newman (Madeline), Carson and sisters: Juanita(Harry) and Cynthia(David), nieces, nephews and friends.
Laurin recently retired from his career working with Crimson Tide Fisheries in Dover, NL.
He was a lover of music and was very proficient at playing many different musical instruments. He spent endless hours of his free time volunteering his services playing at church ceremonies, weddings, family celebrations, private and community gatherings.
Laurin was a fun-loving soul and his friendly way was sure to always bring a smile to your face. His sense of humor was infectious to anybody who was ever in his presence; to know him was to love him.
He was very family oriented and has been instrumental throughout his life at bringing family together for fun times, reminiscing and playing music.
He was a very caring and generous person and was always the first to be there to lend a hand when friends, family, or even strangers were in need of help.
It was at Laurin’s request that his remains be cremated.
Services will be held at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Hare Bay on Monday, Aug 2nd at 2:00pm. Due to Covid-19 regulations, the service will be by invitation only.
A celebration of Laurins life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
We are at a loss for words with Laurin’s sudden passing. He will be sorely missed.
