It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherry Lynn Kozakewich, on September 15th, 2021 at the age of 54, after a long, difficult battle with cancer. Sherry will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her partner Ron Phillips; children Jake Schram, and Hayley Richards; step-children, William and Robert; siblings Wayne(Helen), Al, and Joan; her nieces and nephews, Christopher, Jessica, Karlee, Nick, Tara, Kendall, Skylar, Melissa and Alex; as well as her “second daughter”, Tasha Lomax.
Sherry was predeceased by her parents Metro and Lillian Kozakewich.
Sherry was known for her sense of humor and big heart, she was a caring and helpful person, to all who knew her. Her love for plants could only be matched by helove of spending time with her family and friends gathered around a fire sharing stories, and enjoying life to the fullest. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be taking place on September 24th from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, at Serenity Funeral Service in Fort Saskatchewan. Interment will take place following visitation at 3:00pm at the Kysylew Cemetery in Andrew, Alberta. A lunch will follow the service.
The family would like to thank Ron, for all his care and love during Sherry’s battle with cancer.
In lieu of flowers, the family will has requested that donations be made in Sherry’s honor to The Cross Cancer Institute.
