Kerrigan Mary Alice March 16th 1929 September 25th 2021

With the luck of the Irish on her side for 92 years, Mary Alice Kerrigan has passed away peacefully at Fiddick’s Nursing Home with her family by her side on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Mary Alice was born in the small town of Barr Cregg, Ireland, and emigrated to Canada with her father Jimmy, mother Tillie and brother Leonard in 1931. She always held on to her strong Irish roots. On June 13, 1953, Mary Alice married Leo Timothy Kerrigan. They moved to the bright lights and big city of Camlachie, where they farmed and raised 8 leprechauns. Famously remembered by her grandchildren for being small in stature but strong in faith, works and opinions! Mary Alice is survived by her children Greg (Betty Ann), Susan, Dennis (Sheila), Angela, Shawn and Stephen; grandchildren Brent (Miriam), Jill, Karla (Chris), David, Michelle (Tyler), Kent (Grace) and Bryce; and great-grandchildren Maya, Aurora, Leo, Max, Linden, Emerson, Maddy, Elizabeth and Tyler. She is also survived by her sister Helen (John) Vandenbogaerde, sisters-in-law Donna Smalls and Phyllis (Jack) Kerrigan, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Leo (1995), son Darron (1978), daughter Martha (1984), parents James Kilkey-Smalls (1978) and Matilda Smalls (1974), and brother Leonard Smalls (1976). A private family service will be held, followed by an interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wyoming. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Community Concerns for the Medically Fragile (donate online or by cheques only at the funeral home please).
