1926 – 2021
KERR, Genevieve (nee MURPHY) – Passed away peacefully on September 6th at the Teck Pioneer Residence at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her loving husband Michael, daughter Geraldine, and siblings Thomas, Edward, Augustus, and Morris. Genevieve will be sadly missed by her children Judy Kerr and Michael (Christina) Kerr, grandchildren Jason, Brittany, Ryan & Aaron, and great grandchildren Oscar and Cove. Genevieve worked as a teacher for many years in Virginatown, Larder Lake, and Kirkland Lake. In her younger years she enjoyed outings for curling and arts & crafts. She always enjoyed talks with her good friend Jackie Trudel. As per Mom’s wishes, a family ceremony will be held to celebrate Genevieve’s life. She will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. A heartfelt thank you to the doctors and entire staff at the Teck Pioneer Residence for their care and love over the years. Donations in Genevieve’s memory may be made to the Teck Pioneer Residence (145 A Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3P4).
