Turbill, Katherine Norena (MacKeigan) –
Age 85 years of Whycocomagh – With broken hearts we
announce the passing of our dear mother, Katherine Norena Turbill,
(nee MacKeigan) on Sunday, January 3, 2021.
Born in her family home in Whycocomagh on January 1, 1936 she
was a daughter of the late John Lewis and Margaret (Robinson)
MacKeigan. She is survived by her daughters, Lynanne Kochhar and her
children, Priyanka and Ravi; Mary Beth (George) Ferguson and their
children, Nicole and Lauren; Nancy Turbill. She is also survived by
her siblings, Florence MacKeigan, Ian (Shirley) MacKeigan, and Sheila
MacKay, and her brother-in-law, Dougald McLean, and many nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenzie and his siblings,
Alice, Dorothy, and Mary and by her sister, Dorothy McLean and
brother-in-law, Archie MacKay.
Thank you to Dr. Egar, Dr. Ritter, Paulette and Lori
Ann and all the continuing care nurses who took such good care of
Mom.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation due to
COVID -19 restrictions. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m.,
Thursday, January 7th in Stewart United Church,
Whycocomagh with Jennifer Billard officiating.
All attendees will be asked to provide their
names and telephone numbers upon arrival at the church for the funeral
service. Seating is limited. Social distancing protocols are
to be followed and masks are mandatory. Donations may
be made to Inverness Palliative Care or Stewartdale
Cemetery.
