Obituary of Juanita Adams
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one Juanita Adams of Burin on Thursday, April 15th, 2021 at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center at the age of 72 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are brothers Clarence (Cathy) and Hayward (Pearl); sister-in-law Cornelia Warren; brother-in-law Eldon Bemister; nieces Barbara (Wayne), Goldie (Owen), Lori (Dwayne), Nancy (Sandy), Trina (Greg) and Cindy (Justin); nephews Bert (Connie), Corey (Brenda) and Chris (Jessica); special friends Leighton Grandy and Elsie Barrett at the Marystown Retirement Center and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Addie and Joseph Adams; brothers Arch Adams and Stanly Warren and sister Hazel Bemister.
Juanita had a smile for everyone. She was very outgoing and loved to go to McDonald’s or any resturant and was always the first one to be ready to go. She was an avid animal lover and loved children and they loved her as well. When she was well she loved going to church and never missed a service no matter what the weather. She loved spending time in the garden with her flowers and loved flowers of any kind. In the summer she never missed going to OCT for the music and in the winter on Wednesday nights she loved her Bingo. Anyone who knew her would remember how she loved to hang out at Brown’s Grocery Store, Burin Bay and they loved having her there as well. Her favorite snack was her bologna and a can of coke.
In keeping with Covid regulations a walk through visitation will take place on Friday 7-9PM family only and Saturday for her family and friends from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. No food or beverages are allowed in funeral home. Please sanitize hands on entry and exit of funeral home. Masks must be worn at all times.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Anglican Cemetery Fund, Hodder’s Point.
Funeral service will take place from Serenity Chapel on Sunday, April 18th at 2PM with interment following at Anglican Cemetery, Hodder’s Point.
The family would like to thank the staff of Marystown Retirement Center for their care and love of Juanita and to all the residents who made her time there so enjoyable.
