Randy passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 7th, 2021, in Vancouver, British Columbia, after a long and brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Annick; his daughter Sabrina; siblings Bonnie (Jerry Martin), Scott (Terry Zimmerman) and their families.
Randy was a kind and brilliant man, who will be remembered for his adventurous spirit and love of the great outdoors. He was an avid hiker, cyclist, cross-country skier, sailor and photographer, who loved to share stories of his youth exploring the backcountry of the Pacific Northwest. His passion for exploring the world led him to move with his family to Europe, where he lived several years before immigrating to Canada. Memorable photography tours were made, with the highlight being the safari in the Okavango Delta of Botswana and in South Africa.
His final wish is to have his ashes spread near Image Lake in the Glacier Peak Wilderness, where he had very fond memories of camping there with his family.
He will be greatly missed on this next step of his journey.
