John Harvey Strain
MAY 24, 1963 – DECEMBER 27, 2021
John Harvey Strain, aged 58, passed away suddenly on December 27, 2021, in Edmonton, Alberta. John was born on May 24,1963 in Edmonton, Alberta, and was adopted by his parents Jack and Anne Strain.
John is survived by his mother, Laura Anne Strain, of Calgary, Alberta; his sister, Laura Lynn Strain (Kelly Strain), of Calgary, Alberta; and his son, Adam, of Edmonton, Alberta.
He is preceded in death by his father, John (Jack) Edward Strain, of Calgary, Alberta.
John worked for over 25 years in Project Control Management with several different companies and organizations and had the opportunity to travel to many different countries during his working career.
John enjoyed playing the guitar and was an excellent musician. John loved blues music and his favorite musicians were Stevie Ray Vaughn and the Beatles. His family and friends will always remember him as a caring and religious person.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of John so suddenly and we will be having a private family service later in the spring to celebrate his life.
We would like to thank CPS for informing us of his sudden passing and the compassion and care offered.
