on the 19th of July 2021 John let go of the hand of his wife of 32 years and took the hand of Jesus into the sunset. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Reid). Loving father of Aminka, Zenga (Meghan) and Rhys (King). Loving uncle of Shane (Rita). Dear brother of the late Patrick McCurdy. Fondly remembered by Mary Lavery and her family. Special thanks to Aminter, Zell, Sasha and Maxine for your loving and compassionate care.
John’s family will receive relatives and friends from 3-3:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener. Memorial Service in the chapel on Saturday at 4 p.m. Please note that if you plan to attend, masks are mandatory and you must RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling (519) 749-8467.
