Obituary of Johanna Brak
Johanna passed away peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Sunday, August 8, 2021. Born on October 24, 1930 in Pijnacker, Netherlands, Johanna Brak (née van Atten) of Owen Sound, was in her 91st year.
Dearly loved wife of John Brak. Loving mother of Margaret Span (Gerald) of Alliston, Dorothy Vogel (William) of Bowmanville, Wendy Monahan (Bryan) of Owen Sound, Nancy Elder (Randy) of Teeswater, Ronald Brak (Debra) of Kilsyth, Rudy Brak (Bonnie) of Palmerston and David Brak (Krista) of Owen Sound. Proud Oma of 30 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Ali Hartmans. Predeceased by her parents Dirk and Jacoba van Atten, her siblings Leny van Atten, Piet van Atten (Leny), Wim van Atten (Corrie), Jasper van Atten and her brother-in-law Jan Hartmans.
A private family funeral service will be held to celebrate Johanna’s life. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Georgian Bluffs.
