JOEL ANDREW VERMEERSCH

Peacefully, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Sunday, August 22, 2021, Joel Andrew Vermeersch was called Home to be with his Lord and Saviour, at the age of 86 years. Joel was a loving husband of 64 years to his wife Christine (nee D’Hondt). He was a dear father of Brian Vermeersch and his wife Carol; Barry Vermeersch and his wife Cathe. Cherished grandfather of Brandon Vermeersch and his wife Breanna; Ashley Knoflook and her husband Josh; and Connor Vermeersch. Joel adored his great grandchildren Klay and Hailey Vermeersch. He is survived by his sisters Annie VanLouwe and Paula Vermeersch. Joel is predeceased by his parents Jules and Madeleine (nee Anseeuw), brother Roger Vermeersch and his wife Jacqueline, his sister Maria Verhaeghe, brothers-in-law Albert Vermeersch and Frank VanLouwe. A Private Family Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 with Father Thomas Kuriacko officiating. Private interment to follow at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the Vermeersch family.
