Obituary
Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on December 26 at the Miller Center in St. John’s, Joan Mary Smith, in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her husband Oliver Smith; parents Jack Murphy and Margaret Hannaford; brothers Donald Murphy and John Murphy.
Leaving to mourn son Glenn Smith (Danielle); granddaughter Kaitlin Smith (Bobby); great-granddaughters Alice and Charlotte; brother Pat Murphy; sisters Debbie Carerra and Judy Murphy; sisters-in-law Mary Corcoran and Madonna Murphy; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Special thank you to Dr. David Jones and the staff at the Health Sciences Center Ambulatory Care Clinic as well as Vivienne Ryan and the Community Health team for their exceptional care, compassion and support.
