Holmes, Joan Christine (Pitcher) (October 6th, 1940 – September 3rd, 2021) –
Passed away, peacefully, on Friday, September 3rd, 2021, at London Health Science Centre- University Campus, Joan Christine (Pitcher) Holmes, of London, at the age of 81. Joan was born in Tillsonburg to the late Bill and Rosemary Pitcher. A graduate of Tillsonburg High School, Joan was employed for many years between Sears Canada as a clerk and was a dedicated public-school teacher at various London area schools. She is survived by her much loved husband of 61 years, Larry Holmes, of London. Always a caring mother to their children Chris (Deborah) Holmes, of Ottawa; Shelley Holmes, of London. Lovingly remembered by her 7 much loved grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings Pat, Jane, Ted, Jim and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In keeping with Joan’s expressed wishes, private burial has taken place in the Holmes Family Plot in Tillsonburg Cemetery.
