Our beloved mom passed away peacefully at Cama Woodlands Long Term Care on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Donald Bishop (April, 2009). Proud and very loving mother of her 10 children; Patty (Marty), Cathy (James), Bruce (Debbie), Donna, William (Jennifer), Brian (Sandra), Robert, Carolyn (Dave), Susan and Donald (Ginette). Cherished grandmother of 20 grandchildren, Carrie, Tricia, Tim, Jaqueline, James, Jonathon, Katherine, Amelia, Cameron, Jory, Carly, David, Christopher, Tyler, Mark, Adam, Michael, Danny, Jessica and Melissa, and 19 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents John and Amelia Donaldson, siblings Joseph (Bernice) and Sophie (Mike) and granddaughter Jocelyn (2010). Jessie will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews in Canada and the USA. Although Dementia took many of her memories, it never took her love and devotion to her family, her kindness, or her quirky sense of humour. Mom loved Johnny Mathis, pizza, and the time she spent working at Pee Wee’s Pizzeria on Brant Street in Burlington. Special thank you to Dr. Patrick Galange and the staff at Cama Woodlands for their care and compassion throughout Jessie’s time there. Mom called all of you her friends., especially Sharon, Isata, Claudia, Natalia and Sharlene. Mom, you will be missed. You are probably having a great game of Bingo right now, listening to Johnny sing your favourite song, «Chances Are», and maybe even dancing the Polka with Dad. You were the best and sweetest mom, Baba, grandma, great-Baba, and great-grandma, truly loved by all of us. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Jessie’s Life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in her memory are asked to please consider the Alzheimer Society or Cama Woodlands LTC, Burlington.
