Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Jeffrey James Michael Hussey on August 19, 2021. Jeff was born on December 1, 1970, in Saint John, NB, to Blair and Carol (Tracey) Hussey and was the loving husband of 20 years to his wife, Tanya (Porter) Hussey.
Jeff worked his way up through the City of Saint John to become the Director of Public Works and Transportation. He was a loud and outgoing man who would help anyone with anything they needed. Jeff was always friendly to everyone. He was driven with a passion to learn, and his knowledge was wide-ranging and diverse. He could take things apart and put them back together again, because he wanted to see how things worked. He was inquisitive and determined in everything. He loved to work out and stay healthy, his yard was a thing of beauty that he worked hard on and he was a perfectionist. Jeff was a very well-respected man and had a lot of friends who will all miss him dearly, but above all, he will be forever remembered and forever loved by his family.
Along with his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Leigha Adams, and Gabriel and Kaleb Hussey; brothers, Glen (Carolyn) and Craig (Chelsea); as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). In keeping with Jeff’s wishes, cremation will take place. A private memorial service will be held for Jeff’s family. For those who wish, memorial donations in Jeff’s memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
