Jeannine Johnson
1929-2021
RICHIBUCTO,
NB – Jeannine Johnson 91, of Richibucto passed away
peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center in
Moncton on Friday, April 16, 2021. Born in St. Ignace, she
was the daughter of the late Laurent Gallant and
late Exilda (Daigle)
Gallant.
She had a
great sense of
humour and could always find a reason to laugh. Mom enjoyed going for
drives and sitting outside watching the world go
by…especially
motorcycles. Her love for
her family was deep and this love also extended to
her beloved
rescued cat who
was treated
like royalty. Mom could
always be found in her favourite chair looking
out of the livingroomwindow, or
colouring in one of her many books, scratching bingo tickets,
playing television bingo, and finally playing cribbage.
She loved receiving phone calls from family
and was even happier
when company dropped in
for visits.
Jeannine will
be sadly missed by her three
daughters, Diane Johnson
(Willie) of Aldouane, Joanne
Johnson (Eric) of Fredericton, Debbie Mazerolle
(late Normand) of
Richibucto; three sons,
Phil Johnson (Heather) of
Dartmouth, NS, Bernard Johnson (Karen) of
Richibouctou-Village,
Robert Johnson (Colleen) of
Lower Sackville, NS; twelve grandchildren
and seventeen great
grandchildren.
She is also
survived by one sister, Rejeanne Gallant of Montreal and many nieces
and nephews.
Besides her
parents, she was predeceased by her
husband, Léonide Johnson; two
sisters, Lina, Geraldine
and four brothers, Freddy,
Teddy, Onil and
Roger, and one
great grandson, Max.
Visitation will be held at
Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Friday, August 27,
2021 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Saturday beginning at 9:00 am until
departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated
on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:0 am at the St. Louis de Gonzague
Roman Catholic Church in
Richibucto. Donations in
memory of Jeannine may be made to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation
