Passed away at the age of 83 from Cancer peacefully with the certainty of Hope for Eternal life in Heaven through the saving Grace of Jesus Christ her Savior and Lord.
Jean immigrated to Canada after WW2 with her family. Here she met and married her husband of 63 years. Jean cared for their 5 children as Herb worked 3 jobs to support the family.
Jean played accordion and organ and loved to sing. Jean enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and smocking, and serving at her local church.
Jean’s family would like to thank the staff at Lisaard House for all their care and support.
Loving wife of the late Herb (Hubrecht) Lobbezoo. Cherished mother of Dorothy Bryans (Glen), Christine Kaufman (Larry), Albert Lobbezoo (Janice), Rev. William Lobbezoo (Ilana), and Nancy Misener (Jim). Beloved grandmother of Jennie, Richard (Mary Kay), Adam, Steven, Jamie (Emily), Gregory (Elizabeth), Trevor (Deanna), Scott (Rachel), Debbie (Richard), Joe (Jamie), Carolyn (Justin), Mariann, Holly, Kimberly, Robin (Ian) and James; and great-grandmother to Alaythia, Bianca, Carissa, Nick, Ayrna, Abigail, Lincoln, Nathan, Julia, Danielle, Allison, Graham, Claire, Madeline, Morgan, and 3 other great-grandchildren.
Jean will also be sadly missed by her siblings Maria Spekking and Ena Westenberg.
Predeceased by her parents Albertus and Aagie VanVeen; her great-grandson Ivan; her sister Hendrikje (Jon) Hogenes and brother Jacobus (Marie) VanVeen.
Jean’s family will receive family and friends at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd, Cambridge on Friday, July 23rd from 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 1 pm. Masks and social distancing will be required. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Restoration Church (please make cheque payable to Temple Baptist Church, on memo line note for Restoration Church) or The Global Advance Fund of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada www.cmacan.org/give would be greatly appreciated by the family.
