Downey, James Richard:
Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at his home at the age of 57.
Beloved husband of the late Nicole Hill (2014).
Loving father of Nicole and cherished Papa Julisa, Zander and Libby.
Dearly loved brother of Dorothy, Elizabeth (Bryan Paulitzki) and the late Brian (2018).
Will be missed by his nephews, Matthew (Christina) Ruttan and their children, Kaylee, Serenity and Aubree, and Michael (Jess) Ruttan and their children Adam and Holli.
Predeceased by his brother-in-law, Cam Cossaboom (2020).
James had a love of hockey, particularly the Toronto Maple Leafs. He had a smile that could light up a room.
James’ family will receive relatives and friends from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 5:30 p.m. Those wishing to attend James’ visitation and service must RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling 519-749–8467.
