Bickford, Jacqueline Mary – age 54, of Bible Hill and formerly of Bell Island, Newfoundland, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 18, 2021, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Bridget (Lahey) Brown. Jackie was a dedicated mother who loved country music, horses, her work in the medical field and being with all of her friends and family.
She will always be loved and missed by her precious daughter, Santanna (Shane); her beloved boyfriend, Arnold Roberts (and their cat, Mandy); brother, John Brown; nephews, Ryan O’Brien, Tanar Brown; and niece Kendra O’Brien and her family; as well as many special friends and extended family from Ontario to Newfoundland.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her dear sister, Jill Brown.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Bell Island, Newfoundland.
Her family would like to extend sincere appreciation to Dr. Henderson, Dr. Surette and all nurses and staff on the palliative care unit at CEHHC for being so compassionate and caring during her final days and making sure we were able to fulfill all of her wishes.
Memorial donations in Jackie’s honour may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
