Jacqueline Augusta
«Nan» Diamond, 87, earned her wings to fly passing
peacefully at Glen Haven Manor on December 11, 2021. Born in
Stellarton, Pictou County, she was a daughter of the late John and
Hilda (Spence) Pitts. Jacqueline was a member of Christ Anglican
Church, Stellarton and worked for Maritime Tel & Tel for 34
years in New Glasgow & Truro. She was a member of Bell Aliant
Pioneers Marigold Chapter, Truro and thoroughly enjoyed volunteering
at «Kane’s Kitchen». She loved cooking and
entertaining when friends dropped in.
She is survived by her
daughter, Karen Diamond, New Glasgow; daughter-in-law, Jocelyn
Diamond-Wentzel (Brian), Trenton; grandchildren, Richard White, New
Glasgow; Kaela (Matthew) Ballum, PEI; Coby (Marla) Diamond, New
Glasgow; Janessa Diamond, New Glasgow; one special
great-granddaughter, Harper «DoDo» Ballum; sister, Sylvia
Burrs, Truro; brother, Johnny (Lois) Pitts, Cape
Breton.
Jacqueline was
predeceased by the father of her three children, John Blair
«Bub» Diamond; sons, Kevin and Paul; sisters, Carolyn and
Lydia Pitts.
She will be joining
her Yorkie fur babies, Maggie and Tiffany, and her most recent beloved
companion Abbey Cat. Special thanks to the staff of Glen Haven for
making her feel so special.
In lieu of flowers,
considering her love & passion for furry friends, donations in
Jacqueline’s memory may be made to an SPCA of your
choice.
A Graveside service
will take place at a later date in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
