Obituary for
Ivan Hren
On July 23, 2021, Ivan, age 86 years, peacefully passed away in the presence of his wife and daughter. He entered eternal rest after enduring Alzheimer’s disease for several years.
Left to cherish his memory is Cecilija, his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, daughter, Angela (Ric) and son, Martin (Karlee). Also lovingly remembered by brothers, Joze (Kristina), Anton (Marija), sister, Marija (Joze) and numerous nieces and nephews in Slovenia; nephew, Tony (Jodi); sister-in-law, Christine (Dave) and family all in B.C., sisters-in-law Teresa (Wes) and Anna (Andre).
Predeceased by parents, Ignac (Kristina), brother, Ignac (Vera); sister, Kristina; father-in-law, Joze Markoja; brother-in-law, Joze Markoja in Slovenia; mother-in-law, Maria (Mateja) of Edmonton.
Prayer Service to be held at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue on Thursday, July 29 at 8 p.m..
Funeral Service to be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Parish, 210 Haddow Close NW, Edmonton, on Friday, July 30 at 11 a.m.
