Perry, Irvin Nellis “Pete”
It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Pete. He passed away Thursday January 14, 2021 at home after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 84. Pete of Stayner, beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Lougheed) for over 63 years. Loving father of Pamela (the late David McNabb) and Rick (Laura). Dear grandfather of five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Dear brother of Audrey (the late Allen Foisie) and brother-in-law of the late Sarah (the late Gerald Williams)and the late Ronald Lougheed. He is also predeceased by his parents Nellis and Flora Perry. Pete will also be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. Pete was a man who could fix anything! He was a lifelong resident of Stayner and he made a proud living helping others. He and Phyllis owned and operated Perry’s Garage and Perry’s Daycare. There were not many children or vehicles in our town that did not spend time at the Perry place being well looked after and loved. Pete’s family send a special thank you to Doctors MacDougall and Boyd, the staff of the RVH palliative care department, the nurses and PSW’s of Saint Elizabeth Health Care and CCAC for all of their care and support in this difficult time. You are saints and you cannot be thanked enough! Private arrangements at this time with the hope for a Celebration at a later date.
