David Loomer, 79, of Grand Bay, died July 17, 2021, at Carleton-Kirk Lodge in Saint John, NB.
He was born on June 23, 1942, on Anticosti Island, QC, to Dorothy Belle Loomer (nee Cheyne/Ring) and Nathan Frank Loomer.
He was married to Gloria Loomer (nee MacDonald) on August 22, 1964 in Saint John, NB.
David is survived by his wife, Gloria, his daughter Linda (Bob), brother Frank, grandchildren Katie and Ben, nieces Diana and Heather (Aaron), and great niece Lila.
He is predeceased by his parents, step father (Gordon Ring) and brother (Paul).
David worked for Ocean Steel and Construction for fifty-three years. He was a member of the Grand Bay Council for nine years; a member of the Grand Bay Planning Advisory Committee for ten years; and the liaison councillor to the Grand Bay Volunteer Fire Dept.
His true passions were railroads – real and model; photography; boats; travelling; jigsaw puzzles and building.
