Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of my dear husband, our loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Hendrik (Henk) Van Ee. Henk was born in Kootwijkerbroek the Netherlands on February 13, 1949. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Willy of 49 years, and their children; Aleida (John Van Driesten), Evert (Kim), Corne (Edith), Leon (Joanie), 22 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. His brothers and sisters; Henry (Evelyn), Martin (Eipie), Stien (Jan Wout VandenBerg), Hilda (Evert Roelofsen), and Theo (Alie). His brother in laws Gijs Mastenbroek (Lies), Aart Mastenbroek (Gijsje), Ton De Goeij, and numerous nieces and nephews. Henk was predeceased by his parents, Evert and Kor Van Ee, his parents-in-law Cees and Alie Mastenbroek, and his sister-in-law Gijsje De Goeij.
Together with his wife and children they immigrated to Canada in April of 1981. Henk and his brother Henry started an excavating business H&H Drilling from 1982-2014. After his retirement he started Henk Van Ee Excavating and enjoyed his odd small jobs, he was involved with numerous committees, Chairman of the Community Hall, the playground committee, and on the board for the Fort Museum. He worked with Alberta South West and helped many with immigration.
Condolences will be held from 7:00 P.M. till 8:30. on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Eden’s Funeral Home, 2424 5th Ave, Fort Macleod, AB.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Reformed Congregation of North America in Monarch, AB, with Elder Paul Wander Officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation c/o the Jack Ady Cancer Centre, 960 19 Street Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 1W5
