Obituary of Helen Marion Wiggins
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Marion “Helen” Wiggins formerly of Fredericton , NB , at the age of 72 at the Mill Cove Nursing Home on Friday, July 23, 2021. Helen was a caring person, even though dementia affected her life and took her away; her heart was kind to all. She was born in Codys, NB on March 22, 1949. Helen was affiliated with the Salvation Army Church. She worked in her earlier years, at the cafeteria at UNB and STU, for seventeen years. Besides her family and attending church, Helen enjoyed walking, reading, flowers especially roses and lilacs.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Doris Sprague of Alberta ; grandchildren, Trendon and Destiny Smith; brother, Benjamin Wiggins (Brenda); sister, Sharon Scott; cousin, Marion Allen; sister in law, Joan Davidson; her special nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her adoptive parents, Helen was predeceased by her sister, Nina Berndt; brother, Clyde Hetherington; brother in law, Murray Scott, and cousin, Vernon Allen.
A special thank you to the doctors and staff of the Mill Cove Nursing Home who cared for Helen during her stay.
By request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
