Gertrude’s Obituary
Mae Dolan of Juniper NB, previously of Carleton Place ON, passed away on Saturday August 21, 2021 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville NB. Mae was 94 years old.
She was the daughter of Christina McLean and Ennis Paul Alexander. She is survived by her two grandsons, Steve and Mike LeBlanc. Also her daughter in law Louise LeBlanc and her grand-daughter inlaw Peggy LeBlanc. She is also survived by her many great grandkids and great-great grandkids.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband Hugh Dolan, her son, George LeBlanc and her brothers, Fred Alexander, Larry Foley and Ernie Foley.
Mae was born in Ottawa, and enjoyed a long career in drafting with the Government after 40 years of dedicated service.
Upon retirement Mae enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also loved to dance at gatherings and enjoyed the music. She enjoyed feeding bread to the birds everyday. She often went out for lunch with her friends. Mae enjoyed family on holidays and birthdays. She was an amazing cook and a dedicated mother and grandmother. She had many friends she spoke highly of. She often thought of life on the farm and growing up with Fred.
Mae will be loved and missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
Mae is resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street Woodstock, NB
By request there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.
Mae will be buried in the Hawthorne Cemetery in Ottawa, Ontario.
