Obituary of Geraldine Catherine Loucks
It is with great sadness that the family of Geraldine Catherine Loucks announce her passing on May 2, 2021 in her 85th year. Dearly loved wife of more than 64 years of Milford Loucks of Owen Sound. Cherished mother of John Loucks (Kathryn) of Bolton and Lynne McGregor (Peter) of Owen Sound. She will be missed by grandchildren Jodi McGregor, Cory McGregor (Julia), Emma Loucks and Sam Loucks, as well as great grandsons Karter and Kaleb. Geraldine came from Flesherton, but lived her adult life in Owen Sound, where she worked for many years at Food City. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Velma Best, brother Edwin Best and sister Bonnie Neil, and survived by her brother Robert Best.
A private funeral service for Geraldine will be held in the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to watch the service at 11:00 a.m. via livestream by selecting the ‘LIVE STREAMING’ menu option at the top right corner of the funeral home website (woodfuneralhome.ca). In lieu of flowers, donations to Owen Sound Legion Ladies Auxiliary or Grey-Bruce Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
