JONES, Georgina Ruth
The family of Georgina Ruth Jones of Edmonton, AB is saddened to announce her passing on March 18th, 2021 at the age of 80 years after a long courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband Gordon of 59 years as of Wednesday, March 24th, 2021, her daughters Lori and Shauna (Ken), grandson Jordon (Gillian), granddaughters Kylie (Jedd), Alex (Daniel) and Sarah (Chris), as well as other relatives and many friends.
She was predeceased by her parents George & Carol Toporiwski, brother Reid and sister Darlene and her son-in-law Mark.
At Genie’s request, no service will be held. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to all the excellent doctors, nurses and staff at the Cross Cancer Institute for the wonderful care that Genie received. Your care, compassion and support for mom will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation Cross Cancer Institute 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.
