MOWAT, Gail Patricia (née Vickery) –
After a brave battle with Parkinson’s, Gail passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the age of 78. Loving and devoted mother to Mike (Cathy) and Don (predeceased). Cherished grandmother to Brandon, Jacqueline and Ryan. Dear sister of Dawn Burns (Charlie) and predeceased by brothers John Vickery and Herb Wright. Missed by cousin Bonnie McDonald. Auntie Gail had many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Gail will be missed by her life long friend Jackie who cared and loved her always. Gail will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by extended family and friends.
Gail was a kind and loving person to all those she met. She made life fun! Eager to coordinate family events and adventures, friend’s gatherings and volunteering in the community of Whitby. Her infectious enthusiasm will be missed.
A special thanks to all the staff at Fairview Lodge in Whitby and especially those on Trafalgar Square. You are all so special, especially through the challenges this past year. Your love, kindness and the care you provided for Gail will never be forgotten.
