McCARTHY, Franklin Joseph: It is with Great Sadness the family announces the passing of Frank McCarthy on Sunday, July 25, 2021 in his 98th year.Frank was a Long Time Parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Peter-In-Chains, Third Degree Member of Knights of Columbus Ernest J. Wolff Council #798, Charter Fourth Degree Member Knights of Columbus Sir Aubrey Allen Assembly, Long Time Member of the Peterborough Irish Club, and on the Board of Directors with Peterborough Humane Society. Frank was beloved husband of 73 years to Rita (nee Lajoie). Loving and devoted father of Donald (Janice), the late Gerald (Patty), Bernard (Holly), Paul (Antonietta “Toni”), Elizabeth McCarthy (Wilfred), Maureen Lemke (Randy), and Jennifer Beauchamp (Tom). Cherished Grandpa of 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.He is predeceased by his brothers Richard, Thomas, and sister Margaret Viscoff, Betty Johnston, Marion Zebernoski, and Joan Stewart. Son of the late Frank and Margaret (nee Cavanagh) McCarthy.
Visitation at Highland Park Funeral Centre 2510 Bensfort Road on Friday, July 30th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm (Knights of Columbus Prayer 5:45 pm) Funeral Mass in the Cathedral of St. Peter-In-Chains on Saturday, July 31st at 10:30 am.
