Whidden, Frank Gesner – Age 88, Lower Harmony, passed on August 27, 2021. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Fannie (Canning) Whidden.
Frank loved being outdoors. As a young man, he worked in the woods and later at William A. Flemming’s Feed Mill. Frank could often be seen out in his garden, looking after his cows or plowing snow with his old tractor. He loved talking to people and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Darlene; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Amanda, Bobbie-Jo and Tami; sisters, Jean, Marjorie and Helen and brothers, Vaughn and Bill.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jean Edna (Taylor) and sons, James and Frank.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 6th at 11am in Harmony Cemetery, Harmony, N.S. Donations in Frank’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
