Francis «Frank» S. Whitters
1934-2021
Francis «Frank» S. Whitters, age 86, of St.
Stephen N.B. passed away peacefully Thursday, July 1, 2021, at
Charlotte County Hospital with his loving wife Therese by his
side.
Frank was born December 1, 1934, son of the late Bert and
Elizabeth (Hourihan) Whitters of Sus, N.B.
Frank began his Automotive career in 1958 with Lawson Motors,
Sus N.B, and retired from Charlotte County Chevrolet in St. Stephen
in 2000.
Frank became blind during his retirement years, ending his
favourite sport of Senior Curling.
Frank was very much a people person and connected with
everyone he met. He adored sitting on the front porch at 48 Churchill
St. (his deck at Chipman apartment in recent years) His many friends
would drop by for a coffee and a visit. Frank loved the outdoors,
hunting and fishing with friends at the Jones Cottage on Skiff Lake
his favourite!
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Therese
(Dubee) Whitters; three sons: Jamie (Barb Vokey) of Birch Grove, Cape
Breton NS; Peter (Sandy Ward) of Rusagonis, NB; Tim (Dawn Dunfield) of
St. Andrews, NB; his siblings: twin brother, Fred Whitters (Diane), Ed
Whitters (Dorie) and Ann Sharp of Sus Corner, NB; grandchildren:
Brandon, Katie, Mackenna and Claire; as well as many nieces and
nephews. His sisters in – law: Kay (David) Sercerchi of Lower
Sackville, NS and Eileen Fournier (late Jim) of Edmonton,
Alberta.
In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his
brothers Murray and John Whitters and sisters Mary Doyle, Theresa
Connors, and Katherine (Bonnie) Huggard; sister- in – law Mary (Dubee)
McLean.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The S.O. Mehan &
Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St Stephen, NB on Friday, July
23, 2021 at 2 PM with Father Suresh Savariraj officiating. The family
will receive friends at the funeral home for a time of visitation on
Friday, July 23, 2021 from 12:30-2:00 PM.

Interment will take place at St. Francis Xavier Catholic
Cemetery in Sus, NB at a later date.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to
Brenda and Nancy for their loving gentle care of Frank before and
during his illness. And also, the wonderful care from the Extra Mural
Nurses.
