FRANCIS – Eugene “Geno” M., 48, of Yarmouth, formerly of Milton, Queens County, was lost at sea on December 15, 2020 when the vessel he was on, the Chief William Saulis, sank off of DeLap’s Cove, Digby County. His body has not been recovered.
Born in Milton, Geno was the son of Michael and Karen (Mooers) Francis of Milton.
Geno fished scallops and lobster over the years for Acadia Band in Yarmouth. At the time of his death, he was employed with Yarmouth Sea Products, Bayview Marine Limited.
Geno always loved fishing in the spring, summer and fall for trout and eels. He also enjoyed playing his electric guitar, singing karaoke and having a drink with his friends.
Besides his parents, Geno is survived by his son Michael E. of Milton as well as his grandmother Shirley Demone and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private family memorial service will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Father Gregory Aygeman officiating.
