Figueiredo, Filomena Machado Chaves – Passed away
peacefully at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Thursday June 17,
2021 at the age of 95. Loving and devoted wife of Jacinto
Figueiredo, who together shared 73 years of marriage.
Cherished mother of Maria (Manuel) Soares, Maria Ines (Jose) Luz and
Jose Martinho (Elisa) Figueiredo. Proud grandmother of
Betty, Jeff, Brian, Michelle, Christina and Matthew and
great-grandmother of Joshua, Aria, Evan and Maxwell.
Filomena will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews,
extended family and friends. Filomena was predeceased by her
parents Jose and Filomena Leonardo as well as her siblings.
Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where
family and friends will be received on Sunday June 20, 2021 from
6-9p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our
Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Elgin St., S., Cambridge, on
Monday June 21, 2021 at 2p.m. Interment will follow at
Parklawn Cemetery. Provincial Guidelines are in place for
social distancing and masks are mandatory for each person in
attendance. To reserve your 15 minutes to meet with the
family at the Funeral Home, or to attend the Funeral Mass, please call
