Evan McCarthy
1955-2021
Following a brief illness, Evan Joseph McCarthy of Aroostook, NB,
passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital
on March 20, 2021.
Evan was born in Perth-Andover, NB, on July 1, 1955. He was the son of
the late Everett and Juanita (Goodine) McCarthy. Evan leaves behind
his loving wife, Mariette McCarthy (Ouellette); his daughter, Julia
MacNabb of Fredericton, NB; his sons, Paul Smith (Natascha) of
Fayetteville, NC, Jason Smith (Kim) of Portland, OR; his
grandchildren, Adara MacNabb, Allyson Smith, Ryner Smith, Kaleigh
MacNabb; his sisters, Darlene Farnham of Port Alberni, BC, Willa-Jean
Conroy (Douglas) of Hay River, NWT, Coreena Cole (Gregory) of Cold
Lake, AB; his brother, Daryl McCarthy of Grand Falls, NB.
Evan was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Marlene
McCarthy.
Respecting Evan’s wishes, there will be no visitation held. A memorial
service celebrating Evan’s life will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021
at 11 am from St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Father Gilbert
Doddatto celebrating. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic
Cemetery, Grand Falls (Portage), NB, at a later date.
Covid-19 guidelines must be followed at the funeral.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the NB Heart and Stroke
Foundation or to the NB Lung Association would be appreciated by the
family.
Due to allergies in the family, we ask that people attending the
funeral refrain from wearing any coconut scented products (perfumes,
hand sanitizer, etc.).
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
