Emily Marie Gowing (nee Goodwin) was called home by our heavenly Father on Friday April 9, 2021. She peacefully entered into God’s arms and will be lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 67 years, Vernon, her children Kim & Greg, and her granddaughter Jenna. She was predeceased by her parents Herbert & Emily Goodwin, her sisters Helen, Elsie, & Daisy, and her brothers Roy & Jack.
Marie was born in Galt on December 4, 1934. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sports, and loved spending time on Georgian Bay. Family and friends were everything to her.
As per her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation and the Central Presbyterian Church Restoration Fund.
