Ella Lillian Davidson wife of the late Borden B. Davidson of Riverbend Residence, formerly of Douglastown passed away Sunday April 4, 2021 at Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 89.
Born in Bathurst March 4, 1932, daughter of the late Willard & Minnie (Good) Clouston in a family of fourteen, 9 boys and 5 girls. She graduated from Bathurst High School in 1950 and shortly after moved to Miramichi. She obtained her embalmers License for the Province of New Brunswick in 1966 where she worked hand in hand with her husband at Davidson’s Funeral Home. A member of St. James & St. John United Church, an avid bridge player in both Chatham and Newcastle Clubs.
She is survived by one daughter Phyllis Davidson (Rev. David Allan) of Miramichi, three sons, Kenneth Davidson (Wanda) of Dieppe, Peter Davidson (Joyce) of Miramichi and Reid Davidson (Cindy) of Moncton, seven grandchildren Mitchell Davidson, Katelyn Foran (Chris Squire), Kelsey Davidson (Nathan Yates), Kayla McGraw (Kyle), Craig Davidson (Chelsey), Meghan Shaw (Zack) and Derek Mullin, two great grandchildren Emma Foran and Kenton McGraw, her four legged special companion Holly, two sisters, Hilda MacKay (Late Medley) of Bathurst and Essel Smith (Alton) of South Tetagouche, two brothers, Murray Clouston (Late Edna) of Salmon Beach and , Hugh Clouston (Edith) of Bathurst, many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Besides her parents and husband Borden, she was predeceased by her sister Ola, brothers Bryon, Leigh, Hazen, Wilmer and Carl.
Ella Lillian Davidson is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy with Visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday Evening at 6 pm at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Dr. Diane Juckes officiating. Burial will be in Miramichi Cemetery at a later date.
In her memory, donations to Miramichi Shriners or a memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
