Peacefully, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, Elizabeth (Haimann) Mueller, of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 89 years. Born in Katymar, Hungary on Februay 6, 1932, she was the beloved wife of the Late Steve Mueller (1993). A devoted mother of her two daughters; Anne VanDurmen and her husband Daniel and Elizabeth Dejaegher and her husband Jerry both of Komoka. Dear sister of Steve Haimann and his wife Christine of Virginia. Elizabeth is also survived by her nieces, Katherine and Julie as well as 1 great-niece and 3 great-nephews. Predeceased by her parents Steve and Maria (Schafer) Haimann. She loved helping people, crocheting, knitting, cooking, baking, visiting with friends and family gatherings. She was always thinking about and doing for others. A special thanks to the team of Paramedics, Nurses, Doctors and PSW’s in the ER and ICCU of TDMH for their selfless, dedicated work. A very special thanks to Mariska Simon and Tina Harder for their undying love, friendship and help to our mother. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Please be advised that masks are mandatory by all guests and social distancing will be required. A Private Family Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tillsonburg on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Ben Huyge officiating. Private interment to follow at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Arthritis Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the Mueller family.
