The family is saddened to announce the death of Eileen Rogers ( nee Rocks) at the Meadows Long Term Care Centre, Ancaster. Eileen was the beloved wife of Dan Rogers (2009) for 67 Years.
Loving mother of Angela (Raymond) Pelletier and Sylvia (Cam ) Theroux. Devoted grandmother of Andrew(Linda) Levely, Aimee(Dave) Boys ,Stephen(Lindsay) Levely, ,Dan (Michelle) Theroux, Sarah(Luis) Carrion.
Much loved Greatgrandmother of Hayden and Breanne Levely, Brendan ,Simon and Emma Boys ,Mason and Ethan Levely, Meagan , Isabelle and Alex Theroux , Zoey and Luis Carrion.
Eileen was predeceased by her twin sister Winifred (2012) and three sisters and four brothers .
She is survived by sisters Margaret and Esme in England.
She demonstrated courage in immigrating with a young family from Ireland to start a new life in Canada. She was ever present in the Irish cultural and dance community in Hamilton and beyond.
She came from a close knit family of 11 and was always in touch with her family through her letters phone calls and trips overseas.
Her greatest joy was being involved and surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchiidren.
She was a sweet , kind, strong and beautiful woman . She lived and loved all her 100 years with that spry wit, determination but always angelic presence we all knew her by.
Eileen always put family first before herself and we are all very thankful we had her in our lives.
The family is grateful to the staff of the Meadows LTC Fieldcote Lane for their care and love shown to Eileen.
