Obituary of Douglas John Carpenter
Peacefully in his sleep at Lakeview Retirement Home. Son of the late Stan and Annie. Doug is survived by his wife Loretta Carpenter (Winchester), his sons; Tim (Jan), Jim (Anna), Scott (Teri) and daughters Peggy Gibb and Deborah Soulier (Patrick) along with 7 grandchilden and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Joan Zonneveld (Leen) and brothers and sister-in-law Jerry Winchester (Maureen), Leigh Winchester and Janet Vachon (the late Rene). He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as extended family in Newfoundland. Doug was a long time employee of Carpenter Die Casting. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. The Funeral Service, which will be livestreamed to the Funeral Home Facebook Page, will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 12th at 11 a.m. To watch the Livestream Funeral Service please, CLICK HERE.
