Dottie Yee Shan Lee, born on December 9, 1923 in Canton, Guandong, passed away on October 11, 2021 in Victoria, BC amongst her family. Dottie along with her late husband, worked in Canton, Hong Kong and Taipei before moving to Victoria, B.C., Canada in the late 1970s.
Dottie was a loyal friend, loving sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her family near and far fiercely and was a fantastic listener. She was an avid traveller and was a skilled crafter.
Dottie is predeceased by her loving husband, Nelson, and daughter, Tina. She leaves behind her sister and children, Carol (Joseph), Benson (Cathy), Ava (Claudio); her grandchildren Angela (Brian), Tanya (Danny), Janice (Jonathan), Pamela (Jeph), Tiffany and her great grandchildren, Julianna, Matthew, Chanelle and Audrey.
There will be a small service for immediate family members only. The family thanks all who Dottie had the privilege to know, in particular all the staff and friends at Victoria Chinatown Care Centre. The family kindly ask that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Victoria Chinatown Care Centre or a Cancer Care/research centre of your choice.
