Obituary of Dorothy Louise Scott

The passing of Dorothy “Dinny” Louise Scott of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late John “Jack” Scott occurred on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at York Care Centre. Born on June 28, 1923 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Harlen and Fanny (Miles) Yeomans. Dorothy was affiliated with the Nashwaaksis United Church . She worked for many years for Tom and Eleanor MacLeod.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Robert Scott (Irene), Gary Scott and Randy Scott; long time friend and caretaker, Normand McDonald; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was predeceased by her sisters, Marion King, Vera Mabee, Doris Nauss and Barbara Zwicker, and brothers, Miles, Ralph, Harold and David Yeomans.
Public Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 11 am to 1 pm. The Funeral will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 2 pm with Pastor Normand McDonald officiating. Due to the current health concerns the service is by invitation only, the service can also be viewed by registering through the Funeral Home’s Website (Click on link in Dorothy’s obituary). Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the York Care Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
