In loving memory of Doris Doherty (nee: Muldoon) 91 years old. Doris passed away peacefully at St Gabriel’s Villa in the early morning hours of July 23, 2021. Beloved daughter of Mike and Annie Muldoon (predeceased). Dear wife of Edmund “Eddy”, predeceased. Loving mother of Mike Doherty (wife Janet), Colleen Gillard (husband Steve), Tim Doherty (wife Mary) and Patricia McDonald (husband Charlie).
Cherished grandmother of Kyle (Crystal), Shannon (Tristan), Christopher (predeceased), Curtis (Allison), Katie, Steven, Andrew, Matthew (Samantha), Alison (Alex), Emily, Meghan, Brett (Vanessa) and great-grandmother of Addisyn, Reese, Carson, Ty, Finn, Brock, Wynter and Rowan. Survived by her devoted sister, Sister Mildred Muldoon and predeceased by her siblings Lorena, May, Gladys, Albert, Francis, Monica, Mike and Jim. Survived by many special nieces and nephews. Doris loved to spend time with her family especially at the camp in the French River. We have many wonderful memories of laughter, good food, fun and games shared with each other. Doris was an excellent bookeeper and secretary for many years at Marymount College. She was an avid bridge player and taught all her grandkids to play cribbage. Doris loved to socialize with her many friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations to SickKids Children’s Hospital (genetics, metabolics) would be appreciated. Funeral Visitation at the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St., Sudbury. (Friends may call from 2-4; 6-8pm on Sunday, July 25th, 2021). Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brenna Rd., Sudbury on Monday, July, 26, 2021 at 10:30am. Interment at the Sudbury Civic Memorial Cemetery. Facemasks and social distancing are mandatory.
