Obituary of Doreen Haight
Doreen Weatherbee Haight age 59 of Elmira, New York passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side following an extended illness on Thursday November 18, 2021. She was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on January 21st 1962. If anyone knows her even a little you know she already has a spot at a bingo table ready to go. Doreen was an extraordinary person. She loved so deep. Not a day went by that we didn’t feel her love for her family, for her friends that were like family……grandchildren and great-grandchildren and most of all her sons and husband. She loved all animals and ……some people. Gold and silver and super thrift store finds. Doreen also enjoyed her employment at Sparkle Cleaners for several years. Doreen is survived by her husband Gene «Geno» Haight, her sons Michael Petrides and Phillip (Marie) Petrides as well as three step children Jeff (Michelle) Haight , Lesha (Matthew) Miller and Michael (Rhonda) Haight; one brother John (Sandy) Weatherbee; sisters Diane «Lynn» (Tim) Skinner and Robyn (Kenneth) Bonin; one sister-in-law Judy Manchester; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Doreen is also predeceased by her eldest sister Donna Henderson and her parents Warren «Hal» Weatherbee and Carmella Giacobbi. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Monday November 22, 2021 from 4 to 6 PM.
