Obituary of Doreen Ellen LeFort, New Waterford
It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Doreen Ellen LeFort, 86, on March 30, 2021 at New Waterford Consolidated Hospital.
Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Cameron and Marguerite (Mason) Darroch.
Doreen was employed at the Woolco store in Sydney River for 28 years, retiring as the Assistant Personnel Manager.
Surviving are her daughter, Kim LeFort, New Waterford; son, Blair (Terry), Rocky Mountain House, AB; brothers, Cammie (Eileen -Deceased) and Blair (Rita), both of New Waterford; sister, Dale (Wayne) Ralston, Connecticut; grandchildren, Dawn Michelle Erb, Ross LeFort, Katie LeFort, and Rebecca LeFort; great-grandchildren, Ira Lynn, Easton and Olivia; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Doreen was predeceased by her brother, Clarence.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home and Cremation Center, New Waterford. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a service will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
